Cultural Exchange
CULTURAL EXCHANGE AND SOCIAL WORK
Objectives:
·        Create opportunities for foreign students to explore the local scenic and historical sites; learn about traditional customs, craft villages, and Vietnamese cuisine.
·        Build avenues for Vietnamese students to learn and interact with international peers and facilitate in the effort of the nation’s culture preservation.
·        Execute community projects & social work to support children, the disabled and the less fortunate.  
·        Raise awareness in nature and environment conservations.
 
Targeted participants: 15-25 year olds.
 
Duration: from 3 weeks to 3 months.
 
Program:
Southern region:

Participate in volunteering projects by Vietlearning to help poor students and the children, paediatric patients, environment, …

Social activities can be changed depending on different periods.

Example: Teaching job skills by English or Fundraising events…

Interact with disabled students or disadvantaged students who have received scholarships.

 You also have the opportunity to visit the historic and beautiful local landscape, such as:

-         Touring and accommodation in Ho Chi Minh City, the economic centre of Vietnam, including the following attractions:

·      Post Office, Notre-Dame Cathedral, Independence Palace, Ben Thanh Market, Municipal Theatre of Ho Chi Minh City, Museum of Southern Women, War Remnants Museum, Giac Lam Pagoda.

·        Can Gio Resort.

-         Enjoy a musical night with special performances by disabled artists at DRD Vietnam (Disability Resource and Development Vietnam).

Participate in cooking classes on Southern Vietnamese dishes.
 
Central region:

Participate in volunteering projects by Vietlearning to help poor students, orphans, animals…

Example: Teaching job skills by English or Fundraising events, the activities and programs in animal welfare issues

Interact with Vietlearning volunteers.

You also have the opportunity to visit the historic and beautiful local landscape, such as:

-         Touring and accommodation in Nha Trang, among the 30 most beautiful bays in the world, including the following attractions:

·        XQ Hand Embroidery, Institute of Oceanography.

·        Po Nagar, Nha Trang Cathedral.

·        Yangbay Waterfall or Trekking on Hoa Lan Island.

·        Coral Reef Diving at Hon Tam & Hon Mun.

  Participate in cooking classes on Central region’s dishes.

Targeted participants:
18-25 year olds.

 Benefit:

You’ll have the organization certification which certifies your participation as a volunteer in our organization and the report to follow up your work.

 Duration: from 4 weeks to 3 months.

 Fee: (Include: meals and accommodation in volunteer house)

·        $600 /month

·        $800/6 weeks

·        $1.000/2 month
